Ca tot veni vorba despre Firefox si Mozilla, de data asta doar pentru cei din tara “Despre open source, free software si solutii deschise cu Zak Greant, una dintre personalitatile miscarii OS/FS.” in ultima editie a revistei NetReport: articolul Free as in “free speech”.
In cadrul conferintei eLiberatica, Zak va fi primul reprezentant oficial Mozilla Foundation care va vorbi in Romania.
I’m learning too late about an interesting event happening in Bucharest today: Piata Universitatii Firefox Party.
Too late for do something like finding some ROSI members who can present eLiberatica there, but not too late to find that in Romania, Firefox has an energetic community. And I’m sure this community would be glad to hear that an official Mozilla Foundation staff representative - Zak Greant - will speak at eLiberatica next year in May.
The event was organized by e-utile.ro.
First presented at BarCamp Vancouver, now at LOAD in Bucharest, eLiberatica start to have public appearances and people are learning about it.

On November 4-5th in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia, is going to be held the OpenFest Conference.
Besides hosting the annual BSD conference, during the event you will be able to see lectures and workshops in 3 different panels: OpenTech - Technical lectures, OpenArt - Open Art (creative commons), OpenBiz - Business oriented lectures.

I can not stay without expressing my admirations for our neighbors who are already recognized in the FLOSS world like a strong community.
For that, I invited Yovko together with Bogomil to attend like keynote speakers at eLiberatica and I’m glad to announce you that both of them accepted. Would be a pleasure to have them with us at eLiberatica and I’m sure that we can learn a lot from their experience.
Three ROSI group members are going to attend LOAD event like speakers: Felix Enescu (CIO, Rompetrol Group), Remus Cazacu (General Director, Bit Software) and Alexandru L?pu?an (CEO, ZITEC).
Alex, besides speaking about his company’s solutions is going to speak in a separate session on behalf of ROSI, presenting the initiative and eLiberatica.
Many thanks to the organizers, especially to Alin Z?inescu (New Media Agency), the person who made this happened and good luck to Alex.
This should be the beginning in Romania of building a real FLOSS community where friendliness, collaboration, good wiling and the freedom of thinking should be always present.
